The Dean’s office hours:

Being responsible for all of the Faculty’s affairs, the Dean:

  1. represents the Faculty as authorised by the Rector,
  2. manages the Faculty’s funds,
  3. supervises the operation of the Faculty’s departments,
  4. coordinates the works on the Faculty’s development strategy,
  5. manages the Faculty’s human resources policy (employment, promotions, leaves),
  6. supervises the academic staff’s assessment,
  7. supervises disciplinary proceedings concerning the academic staff,
  8. supervises academic research conducted at the Faculty,
  9. supervises the academic staff’s scholarly development (internships, leaves, doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships, etc.),
  10. coordinates the conferment of the Minister’s and the Rector’s Awards as well as other university, ministerial and national distinctions,
  11. supervises the Faculty’s libraries,
  12. supervises the management of facilities and equipment,
  13. supervises the Faculty’s publishing activity.

  1. manages all student affairs: issues pertaining to the Rules and Regulations for Studying, granting the dean’s leave, awarding financial help, student research groups and organisations, Erasmus Plus programme, internships, practical placements;
  2. prepares admissions-related plans and decisions
  3. cooperates with the student council
  4. cooperates with external stakeholders: internships, voluntary work, trainee programmes, study visits, etc.;
  5. initiates and coordinates the process of attracting foreign students;

  1. supervises the teaching process and its documentation: changes in study programmes and curricula, developing new fields of study, specialisations and fields of specialisation, teaching programmes, postgraduate programmes, training courses.
  2. cooperates with coordinators of the fields of study
  3. coordinates the preparation of documents related to the accreditation process of fields of study
  4. supervises activities related to the assessment of academic courses (class observation visits, analysis of students’ evaluation surveys)
  5. supervises the assignment of academic courses
  6. enters into civil law contracts for teaching academic courses

The Deputy Dean for Foreign Cooperation, Organisation and Development:

  1. monitors the implementation of strategic objectives of the Faculty
  2. supervises and coordinates the Faculty’s quality assurance system (monitoring graduates’ careers, cooperation with the NCU Careers Service, initiating activities aimed at quality improvement, etc.);
  3. coordinates issues related to the organisation of academic conferences;
  4. initiates, coordinates and supervises foreign cooperation of the Faculty’s academic staff;
  5. initiates, coordinates and supervises the Faculty’s cooperation with external stakeholders;
  6. initiates and coordinates the acquisition of external funds;
  7. initiates, coordinates and supervises the activity of the Faculty’s academic staff in research commercialisation;
  8. supports and monitors the Faculty’s academic staff in procedures related to obtaining grants;
  9. coordinates the Faculty’s promotion activities;
  10. supervises the Faculty’s reporting.
